Special Lectures Series

As a parallel event to the International Conference on rock art to be held from 6th to 13th December, 2012 in IGNCA, we are also organizing a Special Lecture Series to give a global scenario of the rock art and provide an overall status of rock art research in different continents of the world with rock art concentration. These lectures will be delivered by internationally renowned scholars in the field of rock art. These lectures would be giving a vivid representation of the subjects/themes which are important today; While keeping in view the future development of conceptual academic programmes designed to encapsulate the ‘primeval vision’ or Adi Drshya of human beings in universal and cross-cultural perspectives. The aim of these public lectures is to enhance awareness and promote rock art research globally.

Venue for the Special lectures will be the auditorium of IGNCA, C.V. Mess building, Janpath Road, New Delhi. The Special Lectures will be organized from 7th to 11th December, 2012 in the evening after the end of the academic sessions daily on 5.30 to 7.00 PM.
