 Concept: The South Indian Society with its age old cultural traditions is abounding with religious bondage, with its ecological environment. As this Religion is known for its multiple kinds of geographical topography, tropical climates, various soil firmaments, mountains hills, rivers, ravines and rivulets, costal edges and a greater bio diversity repositories, these pose very many upheavals’ and hardships in the social and cultural living patterns which consequently cause different kinds of cognitions, beliefs, ethos and religious cult patterns. The belief, systems, their myths, worship patterns, ritual core offer a plethora for the scholars of Cultural Studies/Social Sciences.

Hence, it is proposed to organize a One Day National Conference, on “South Indian Ecology and Folk Religious Traditions”.

This Conference focuses on the Cultural Traditions of the South Indian Ecology and Folk Religious Traditions”. This Conference focuses also on the cultural traditions of the South Indian Societies, including the Tribal populations of the South Indian Region pertinent to the environmental cognitive acumen.
