Women of India Organic Festival-2018

The Ministry of Women and Child Development is organising the “Women of India Organic
Festival”.

Over 500 women entrepreneurs from Leh to Kanyakumari and from Kohima to Kutch, will
come together with their organic products ranging from food and fabrics to wellness and
personal care will be exhibited and sold during the Festival, which celebrates and promotes women organic farmers from across India. The “Women of India Organic Festival” is intended to highlight the health and environmental advantages of organic goods, provide a platform for women engaged in this economy, share best practices and encourage the development of sustainable and easily accessible sales outlets for organic producers from remote areas of India.

North East Festival

The sixth edition of the popular North East Festival will be at IGNCA, It is a collaborative attempt of IGNCA for promoting North East India.Country Spices will be participating in North East Festival (NEF), Delhi. NEF brings one of the biggest musical festival of India, along with a large food festival, spectacular fashion shows, traditional sports, films, a large
exhibition of NER’s crafts, organic fruits and vegetables, colourful dance forms, dramas and many more.

Art Exhibition ‘Rang-Smriti, A Tribute to Sachida Nagdev’

Dhoomimal Gallery (oldest modern art gallery in india, established 1936) will present a painting exhibition curated by Shri Prayag Shukla (eminent art critic and poet). This is a retrospective exhibition showcasing over 100 works of Sachida Nagdev spanning over 5 decades. Sachida Nagdev was one of the best known Indian painters from Madhya Pradesh. He is the only Indian artist to have won the Osaka Triennale Award where more than 186 countries and 30,000 artists participated.

The Program for the exhibition is as follows-

  1.  The Opening of the the show will be on the date of the artist’s birth anniversary, 25th
    October at 6 pm and will include a sitar recital by Ms.Smita Nagdev ( the artist’s daughter)
    There will also be a documentary film on his life.
  2. Art talk on October 27 at 5 pm about contributions of Sachida Nagdev in Indian Art.
  3. Poetry recital by renowned poets on October 29 at 5 pm.
