Dr. N. Rajam has bestowed Indian ethos and fragrance to a western musical instrument like the Violin. In this DVD, she has beautifully spoken about her personal journey from the Carnatic to the Hindustani style, her tireless efforts to get the subtle nuances of Hindustani gayaki style on violin. She also speaks about the history of violin in Carnatic and later its growth in Hindustani music, the difference between the tantrakaari and gayaki style of violin.
