Hindustani Classical Music Series – Ustad Gulam Sadiq Khan
Ustad Gulam Sadiq Khan is the inheritor of the Rampur Seheswan Gharana. Growing up in an atmosphere of rich music, he received training from several stalwarts and maestros. Ustad Gulam Sadiq Khan taught music in Delhi University from 1980 to 2004 and has trained several students, some of whom went on to make a mark. He has been decorated with several awards including Padma Shri in 2005. His music lineage, spanning seven decades, is being carried forward by his son and grandson.
The present DVD shares about his rendition of bandish; traditional style of Rampur Seheswan Gharana and archival photographs on the artist.
It contains a small booklet that shares about the Artist and his genre of music.
