\nThe program celebrated IGNCA\u2019s 38th Foundation Day with Bhasha Parv, a multilingual Kavi Sammelan highlighting Jammu and Kashmir\u2019s linguistic diversity. Renowned poets from various languages and dialects presented poetry on the occasion. Students from the University of Jammu also recited poetry in Gojri, Dogri, Pahadi, Urdu, and Bhaderwahi, showcasing youth involvement in language preservation. The program emphasized promoting lesser-known languages, creating digital archives, and strengthening cultural initiatives through community collaboration.<\/p>\n

\nThe event honoured the strength, resilience, and achievements of women across diverse fields. The
\nprogram featured discussions and storytelling sessions involving distinguished speakers, scholars,
\nand students. Speakers emphasized holistic women\u2019s empowerment, highlighting resilience, family<\/p>\n

support, overcoming social barriers, addressing gender bias, and the role of education, values, and
\nself-confidence in shaping independent and empowered lives.
\nWomen security guards, auto drivers, and shopkeepers were felicitated for their contribution to the
\nsociety.<\/p>\n

\r\n

The event commemorated the victims and survivors of the 1947 Partition, opening with a two-minute silence in their memory. It featured accounts shared by Partition survivors, highlighting the human cost of displacement and the struggles faced by the people of POJK. The IGNCA\u2019s documentary Vibhajan Ki Vibhishika was screened, presenting personal narratives and historical realities of the period. A photographic exhibition of powerful archival images further depicted the tragedy of Partition. The program also included a student painting competition on the theme of \u201cPartition Horror,\u201d followed by a Nukkad Natak performance by Nav Durga Kala Manch.<\/p>\n

The Regional Centre Hosted a series of 18 events centred around the themes of \u2018Har Ghar Tiranga\u2019 and \u2018Meri Maati Mera Desh\u2019 across various villages and districts of Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n

1. IGNCA in collaboration with Baba Gulam Shah Badshah University
\norganised tiranga rally, panchpran pledge, plantation drive of 75
\nsampling. here vice chancellor\u00a0of university himself led the IGNCA banner
\n2. IGNCA with Mass Communication Department, Jammu university
\ncommemorated Independence Day by organizing a one day event on the
\ntheme: \u201cMany Languages, One expression: India\u201d. The programme
\naimed to highlight the diverse languages and cultures of different regions
\nof the UT of Jammu & Kashmir.
\n3. Painting competition with Vishwasthali, Basholi.
\n4. Painting competition at Nagrota\u00a0 where students\u00a0tried to create
\nindependence related paintings\u00a0in Basholi\u00a0style\u00a0\u00a0
\n5. Painting competition\u00a0 at Shopian\u00a0
\n6. Painting, har ghar tiranga at foundation\u00a0school, Aantnag\u00a0
\n7. Har ghar tiranga in collaboration\u00a0with think and win where the gujjar

\n8. 'Vocal for local' skit in collaboration with the renowned Natrang theatre in
\nJammu. In which children played different\u00a0role to narrate the value
\nof\u00a0Indian knowledge tradition and greatness of our country.

\nRooted in the Guru\u2013Shishya Parampara, the event featured a rare father\u2013daughter duet who sang the classical sufiyana mausiqui. This initiative, organised in an area that has long faced social and developmental challenges, becoming a step toward cultural revival.<\/p>\n
