Children’s Workshop on Creative Dramatics<\/h3>\n

organised by the IGNCA and presented by children, 14 March to 20 April 1998.<\/b><\/p>\n

Theatre workshop on creative dramatics for value creation among children with special emphasis on Gandhian ideals was conducted under the “Childrens World” programme of IGNCA. The play entitled ‘Kalp Vriksh’ translated the Gandhian concept of Nation building into action in a subtle manner, was – presented at Gandhi Darshan and Dilli Haat from the 14 March to 20 April 1998 respectively.<\/p>\n

The play was well received both by the children and the adults, Around 38 members including 30 children of which many belonging to a very low income group took part in the play.<\/p>\n

\nDr. B.N. Pande, the seniormost Gandhian and Vice Chairman of Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti, lighted the lamp marking the beginning of the performance at Rajghat. Shri B.V. Karanth, the noted theatre personality and champion in the field of children’s theatre, inaugurated the performance. He blessed the children and encouraged the participants for their endeavour. Towards the end the children were presented with tokan gifts.<\/p>\n
