Basel masks are newly designed each year for the clubs, known as cliques, who use them to parade and to put on satirical sketches on contemporary events. This mask, showing a devil breaking through the mask of humanity, is inspired by the traditional transformation masks of the American Pacific Northwest, and demonstrates the creativity of the Basel designers.
