Description:

Mask of Rakshasa General 'Khar'. Much bigger in size than life size mask. Very simple mask devoid of any decoration. Divided into two parts : head and face. Facial part is characterised by broad forehead. A few small curved parallel lines alternately in red and white are there in the centre of the forehead. Widely open eyes, straight and prominent nasal bridge, widely open lips, teeth of both the jaws are exposed, gap between the two rows of teeth, two sharp pointed teeth - one at each terminal end of the lips, 'U' shaped chin. Body colour : light blue. Hair, moustach and whisker are depicted by way of painting in black colour. Head is completely covered by a white headress somewhat like a turban only exposing the hari-line along the margin of the head bordering the forehead.
