The proud and arrogant behaviour of the Fedderahannes maskers in the town of Rottweil is in striking contrast to the gentle, aristocratic demeaner of those transformed by Gschell masks, who hand out elegant chocolates to the crowd. The Gschell mask is one of the "beautiful" types of Narro, (Fool) masks, worn with a painted linen costume augmented by six leather straps with large bells. The Gschell carries a leather "fool sausage," usually stuffed with horsehair.
