Kala baba is considered as the younger brother of Bhilat baba. He protects people from serpent bite and also gives relief from serpent poison. In Magh month, a fare is organised in Panchmarhi i.e. called Mahadev or Shivratri fare.The work of Kala baba is used during Mahadev's fare of Panchmarhi. On this occasion a Korku tribal begs.
