Older form of the mask of Goddess Durga used in early thirties. The mask belongs to Madhu Roy's school. Characteristic features : Slightly obligue elongated eyes, finely shaped eyebrows, broad forehead with small third eye in the centre, sharp, prominent and straight nasal bridge, beautifully shaped nasal septum, thin lips (red in colour), prominent chin, head covered by dark hair, frontal part of the head covered by circular headband, hair extending upto the shoulder on both the sides of the neck. A flat roundish background decorated with coloured designs at the back of the head.
