Description:

Mask of Mashan Kali broadly divided into two parts - face and crown. Facial part has the salient features like widely open elongated eyes, straight prominent nose with widely open notrils. A nasal ring with a chain is attached with the nasal septum. Cheek region is very much raised in the form of ridge. Curved protruded tongue held by the exposed teeth of the upper jaw. Lips are open to allow the tongue to come out. Narrow forehead decorated with white spots. Decoration with white dots is also there on both the cheeks. 'S' shaped ears. Body colour : Deep pink. Crown covers the head leaving behind a narrow strip of hair in front lying between the crown and the forehead. Crown has been carved out of the same piece of wood and is divided into a number of segments of same size and shape. These segments are multicoloured. A metallic ornament hangs in the middle of the forehead along the median line all along the crown.
