Description:

It is an elongated version of the mask of Shiva used in earlier days. It is traditional in form. Its head region is covered by hair in four steps arranged in systematic order. The head portion of a hooded snake is depicted against the step at the free end. On the lateral side of this step ther is a replica of a moon in curved for. The hair has been depicted by carving and painted by black colour. The facial part is characterised by broad forehead with a third eye (reddish) in the centre. Large and extended eyes with central hole in the iris region. Sharp and straight nose, finely shaped moustache below the nasal septum, lips depicted by a thick red curved line immediately below the moustache, prominent chin, flat cheek region, expanded ears with a carved flower in each one. Body colour : white.
