It is a wooden mask of Bishnupur used in Rabankata dance. Contrary to the mask of Hanuman the mask is reddish in colour and is provided with circular opening in the position of eye ball for viewing. There is no oral opening. The lips and teeth are depicted by way of painting. Words 'Sita Ram' are written on both sides of the forehead. Hair, eyebrow, moustache and whisker are all depicted by way of painting. The mask is semi-roundish in outline. Body colour : Red. |
