Campaign in India, 1857-58 : From drawings made during period of the great mutiny illustrating the military operations before Delhi and its neighbourhood—London:A Day & son, 1859.
The drawings made by Atkinson provide a live scene of the first war of freedom struggle in 1857 which is described by Britishers as mutiny. In all the pictures, their viewpoint is that they supported or conquered the rebellion whereas from the Indian point of view it was an effort to get the motherland free from the clutches of foreign power.
