On 14th August 2023 at Oxygen Park, Morabadi, Ranchi, Nukkad Natak titled ‘August Kranti’ was presented to depict and educate people about historical events like the Quit India Movement, which was a significant step towards India’s independence which took place in August 1942 during the British colonial rule.

“Desh Ki Dharti” is a captivating street play that embodies the essence of patriotism and national pride. This play skilfully brings to life the love and devotion that individuals hold for their homeland. Through powerful performances and stirring dialogues, the play explores the deep connection between the people and the soil they call their own. It serves as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by countless heroes to protect and nurture the nation’s heritage. “Desh Ki Dharti” not only entertains but also leaves a lasting impact, instilling a sense of unity and responsibility among its spectators to uphold the values that define their country.

“Shaheedo ko Naman” was a poignant and heartfelt street play that pays tribute to the valiant martyrs who have laid down their lives for the cause of the nation. Through stirring performances and evocative narratives, this play commemorated the sacrifices made by these brave individuals, reminding us of their unwavering commitment to the ideals of freedom, justice, and patriotism.

The play captured the essence of the sacrifices made by soldiers, freedom fighters, and countless others who have selflessly given their lives to secure a better future for the country. It served as a reminder of the courage and determination exhibited by these heroes in the face of adversity, inspiring the audience to reflect on the significance of their sacrifices in shaping the nation’s destiny.

Mera Desh Mahan was a thought-provoking and emotionally charged street play that delves into the concept of national identity and the responsibilities that come with it. Through powerful performance and evocative storytelling, the play prompted the audience to introspect on their roles as responsible citizens and guardians of the nation’s well-being. By depicting the challenges faced by the country and the importance of unity, the play inspired a sense of duty and pride in the hearts of its spectators. “Mera Desh Manan” goes beyond entertainment, serving as a catalyst for positive change and a reminder that every individual’s actions contribute to shaping the destiny of the nation.

The event commemorated the victims and survivors of the 1947 Partition, opening with a two-minute silence in their memory. It featured accounts shared by Partition survivors, highlighting the human cost of displacement and the struggles faced by the people of POJK. The IGNCA’s documentary Vibhajan Ki Vibhishika was screened, presenting personal narratives and historical realities of the period. A photographic exhibition of powerful archival images further depicted the tragedy of Partition. The program also included a student painting competition on the theme of “Partition Horror,” followed by a Nukkad Natak performance by Nav Durga Kala Manch.

The event aimed to create awareness among the general public of the horror and devastation caused by the partition of India. The speakers emphasised the tragedy and life lost due to partition. The event was organised as a part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav programme.

The Regional Centre Hosted a series of 18 events centred around the themes of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ and ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ across various villages and districts of Jammu and Kashmir.

organised tiranga rally, panchpran pledge, plantation drive of 75
sampling. here vice chancellor of university himself led the IGNCA banner
2. IGNCA with Mass Communication Department, Jammu university
commemorated Independence Day by organizing a one day event on the
theme: “Many Languages, One expression: India”. The programme
aimed to highlight the diverse languages and cultures of different regions
of the UT of Jammu & Kashmir.
3. Painting competition with Vishwasthali, Basholi.
4. Painting competition at Nagrota  where students tried to create
independence related paintings in Basholi style

bakarwal and far flung students participated. 
8. 'Vocal for local' skit in collaboration with the renowned Natrang theatre in

of Indian knowledge tradition and greatness of our country.
