Panel Discussion on ‘Partition Horrors Remembrance Day’

The event aimed to create awareness among the general public of the horror and devastation caused by the partition of India. The speakers emphasised the tragedy and life lost due to partition. The event was organised as a part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav programme.

Tribal Drum Circle to commemorate Har Ghar Tiranga campaign & Mera Maati Mera Desh

The Har Ghar Tiranga Celebration commenced with the Tribal Drum Circle at Akhra, Oxygen Park, Ranchi where 15 Dhamsa and Mandar players presented an energetic jam of indigenous percussion instruments, cheering “Bharat Mata Ki Jay”. The masses encouraged the artists and also participated by dancing to their rhythmic beats.

Tiranga Rangoli Contest to commemorate Har Ghar Tiranga campaign & Mera Maati Mera Desh

The Tiranga Rangoli Competition at the premises of Aryabhatta Auditorium, Ranchi University, Ranchi was organised on 13th August 2023. Dr. Ajit Kumar Sinha, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Ranchi University and Dr. Smriti Singh, OSD, Ranchi University graced the occasion. Shri Praween Karmakar, Senior Artist, Ranchi was the Judge of the contest.

The talented students from the Department of Performing and Visual Arts, Ranchi University participated in the competition manifesting patriotism through their art.

Ghar Tiranga campaign & Mera Maati Mera Desh

The Selfie with Tiranga contest was organised at Oxygen Park, Ranchi followed by another contest at Ranchi University, Ranchi. From little kids to senior citizens enthusiastically participated in the event. Proudly waving the Tiranga, they expressed their pride of being an Indian.

Har Ghar Tiranga

The Regional Centre Hosted a series of 18 events centred around the themes of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ and ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ across various villages and districts of Jammu and Kashmir.

1. IGNCA in collaboration with Baba Gulam Shah Badshah University
organised tiranga rally, panchpran pledge, plantation drive of 75
sampling. here vice chancellor of university himself led the IGNCA banner
2. IGNCA with Mass Communication Department, Jammu university
commemorated Independence Day by organizing a one day event on the
theme: “Many Languages, One expression: India”. The programme
aimed to highlight the diverse languages and cultures of different regions
of the UT of Jammu & Kashmir.
3. Painting competition with Vishwasthali, Basholi.
4. Painting competition at Nagrota  where students tried to create
independence related paintings in Basholi style  
5. Painting competition  at Shopian 
6. Painting, har ghar tiranga at foundation school, Aantnag 
7. Har ghar tiranga in collaboration with think and win where the gujjar
bakarwal and far flung students participated. 
8. 'Vocal for local' skit in collaboration with the renowned Natrang theatre in
Jammu. In which children played different role to narrate the value
of Indian knowledge tradition and greatness of our country.

students from various schools participated.

Bonvivant English High School in Khanda Bawan, Nawa Kadal, Srinagar,
Kashmir.
16. In collaboration with Govt. Middle school Pariteng.
17. Outreach Tiranga distribution in collaboration with BMS Gundmulraj zone
Dangiwacha cluster Bhss Behrampora district baramulla
18. Multilingual Mushaira, Kavi Sammelan in collaboration with Jammu
Kashmir academy of Art culture and languages in which padmashri level
poets had participated.

Exhibition of Sohrai, Kohbar and Payatkar Paintings during World Anthropology Congress 2023

IGNCA Regional Centre, Ranchi mounted an exhibition of Sohrai, Kohbar and Payatkar paintings from the archives of Regional Centre, Ranchi during the World Anthropology Congress 2023 held at Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), Bhubaneswar organised by United Indian Anthropology Forum (UIAF)in collaboration with Utkal University, Sambalpur University and Delhi University. More than 1,000 scholars from India and abroad attended the Congress.
