Kala Nidhi Annual Day
The Kalanidhi Day is annually celebrated on Basant Panchami. This year’s function was held on January 24, on the Lawns of IGNCA. Pt. Satkari Mukhopadhyaya presided over the function. The Programme included a colourful cultural presentation and presentation of a report on Kalanidhi division’s performance during the preceding year.

Kalakosa Foundation Day Celebration
The Varanasi Branch Office of Kalakosa celebrated its first founding day on the 12th of July, the auspicious day of Gurupµurƒimå or Vyasapurnima. The ceremony started with the mangalacarana, followed by Vedapatha. Prof. R.C. Sharma lighted the lamp and worshipped goddess Sarasvati. He also planted an Arjuna tree in front of the office, representing purity and erectness of the mind. Sri Brij Dev Ram chanted guruvandanå. Dr. Sukumar Chattopadhyay presented a brief report of the Kalåko‹a Division. Pt.H.N. Chakravarty delivered his lecture on ‘guru’ and ‘vyasa mahima’. Dr. N.C. Panda also delivered the speech in Sanskrit on the importance of guru and Dr. R.S. Bhattacharya made an eloquent speech on “Vyasa and His Works.”
