Akhyan which means a narrative or a story, explores and celebrates narrative traditions of India that tell a story through the use of speaking objects such as masks, puppets and pictures. It brings together these traditions not as museum pieces but as living forms of story-telling where the object is given life and projects its creator’s ideas and essence.
