Kerala, “the God’s own country” has a great heritage of boatmen culture found in the region of Kochi to Kollam. Different types of boats like Tituwalam, Catuvam, houseboats and variety of nets are used for different type of fishes. Onam is one of the major festivals of Kerala. The Boatmen celebrate this festival in the form offamous and adventurous ‘Snake Boat’ race which attracts a large number of tourists from all over the world. The documentary highlights a few extracts focusing on the lifestyle and the traditions of these peoples.
