The Rāmāyaṇa is an epic that has been transported and transplanted into various languages and cultures. These are different culture-specific renditions of Rāma-Kathā, where the character of Rāma stands out as virtuous, righteous and noble. This film is a journey through the north east, where irrespective of cultural and racial differences; Rāma’s story has been accepted and at times rewritten, to adopt their own social and cultural milieu.
