IGNCA Book Circle @ Reference Library IGNCA Book Circle @ Reference Library. This month, Ms. Sukrita Paul Kumar will read from her book of poems Dream Catcher. The poems in this volume come from her sojourn in China, her contact with the snowy winter of Minnesota, the experience of the city forest of Jahanpanah and other imaginary terrains triggered off from the real stories of Tsunami devastation etc…or sieved from her memory of some odd dream-like reality. Sukrita Paul Kumar, born in Kenya, lives currently in Delhi, writing poetry and teaching literature. An Honorary Fellow of the prestigious International Writing Programme, University of Iowa (USA), Cambridge Seminars and a former Fellow of the Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla, she was also an invited poet in residence at Hong Kong Baptist University, China. Honorary faculty at the Durrell Centre at Corfu (Greece) and a recipient of many international fellowships and residencies, she has published several collections of poems in English that include Dream Catcher, Without Margins, Apurna, Folds of Silence and Oscillations. A number of Sukrita’s poems have emerged from her experience of working with homeless people, Tsunami victims and street children.
