Rock art exhibition The circulating exhibition titled ‘The World of Rock Art’, concluded it journey at Bengaluru’s National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA). An exhibition titled ‘The World of Rock Art’ was organized by the Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts (IGNCA), in collaboration with NGMA and Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) . This exhibition is a part of the IGNCA’s ongoing project called Adi Drishya. The inauguration of the exhibition on December 3, 2013, took place in the presnce Dr. A Sundara, Retd. Professor, Department of Ancient History & Archaeology, Karnataka University, Dharwad, Shri Pravin Srivastava, (IAS), Director General, Archaeological Survey of India, New Delhi. K. G. Release function of Book on Ajanta: Handbook of Paintings by Prof. Dieter Schlingloff, senior German scholar and an acclaimed authority on Buddhism . Prof. Himanshu Prabha Ray, Chairperson NMAI will release the book. The book launch will be followed by a symposium on the book. Books on Ajanta and prints of Ajanta paintings from the IGNCA Collection will also be displayed. Press Update Exhibition will remain open from 11:00AM to 05:00PM till 30 November, 2013
