Lok Gatha Utsav - Festival of traditional arts and crafts On the occasion of the birth centenary of Rashtrarishi Nanaji Deshmukh, IGNCA in Inauguration on 28th November, 2017 at 5.00pm. The focus of the festival is on oral epics, ballads, and legends in performance, arts & crafts traditions of folk and tribal communities of India. Around 500 traditional folk artists from all over the country will be invited to present the rich traditional cultural heritage of India built around their narrative traditions. This festival will offer a rich variety of traditional crafts, textiles, martial arts, processional theatre, rituals and stage performances. Besides, there will be special arts and crafts workshops for school children to learn from the Artisans. The inaugural performance is the internationally acclaimed “Manganiyar Seduction” from Rajasthan, choreographed by the famous art director and composer Roysten Abel. Shri Manoj Tiwari, Shri Hans Raj Hans, and Shri Mohit Chauhan will regale the audience with their performances every evening. Venue: Matighar Lawns, IGNCA, C. V.
