Meghalaya is inhabited largely by tribes. The Garo, Khasi andjaintiaare three types of tribes having a glorious and unique history, customs, rituals and culture. They are geographically located in Garo hills, Khasi hills and Jaintia hills, respectively, as the names depict. These tribes have different traditions of marriage. According to Garo tradition bridegroom has to move to his wife’s place after marriage. The documentary encompasses their culture, customs, tradition and rituals. Wangla is the major festival which is celebrated after the harvest of crops.
