Seventh International Alexander Csoma de Kőrös Symposium on Buddhist Transcreations in Tibetan Literature and Art" In commemoration of the 170th Death Anniversary of the renowned Hungarian Scholar and ‘Father of Tibetology’ Alexander Csoma de Kőrős (1784-1842) the 7th International Symposium will be held from September 4th and 5th 2014 in IGNCA, New Delhi, India. New researches and recent developments in the field of Tibetan & Buddhist Studies are to be presented and discussed, taking into consideration in particular the collection of Tibetan manuscripts and xylographs of Alexander Csoma de Kőrős.

IGNCA Book Circle @ Reference Library This month we will have the participation of young writers form CBSE schools. These young writers are Tanessa Pri-Reflection (a book on poetry) and Sahil Bansal-Inkspire (an art magazine). Exciting works of fiction, non-fiction and those of academic interest will be showcased through readings, panel discussions and informal conversations. IGNCA Film Circle : “The Golden Art” Director : Dr.G.S.Raina India has a great tradition of paintings.Important artistic Centres got established in Tanjavur, Nathdwara (Rajasthan) and Vrindavan (Uttar Pradesh) and other parts of the country over the centuries. A distinctive feature of this painting tradition is the use of Gold leafs in the mythological and other contemporary works. The documentary explores this tradition of Indian paintings. A Vintage Camera Collection Exhibition An exhibition of rare cameras from the collection of Mr Dilish Parekh, a world record holder for camera collection. IGNCA will present select cameras from this collection marking the World Photography Day on 19 August 2014.
