Seminar on Talamaddale
Beleyur is a remote village near Sagara town in Shimoga District, about 479 km from Bangalore. This village reverberates with Chande (drum beat) every evening. Peasants engaged in agricultural activities gather together and practice a rare kind of Yakshagana or Talamaddale under the umbrella ‘Sri Mahaganapati Yakshagana Kala Mandali’ which is about 150 years of history.
