Panel Discussion on ‘Mahatma evam Gurudev: Swatantottar Bharat Mein Brihtar Bhumika' In collaboration with: St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. This discussion session aims to discuss the views and philosophy of Tagore in reference to Gandhiji’s view of New India. It will not be an overstatement to state that the idea or structure of modern India rests on two towering personalities of the twentieth century – Rabindranath Tagore and Mahatma Gandhi. Though they had many debates and disagreements, they found some common chords and there began a friendship which lasted till Tagore’s death in 1941. Speakers and Guests: 1. Smt.
