Tiranga Rangoli Contest to commemorate Har Ghar Tiranga campaign & Mera Maati Mera Desh

The Tiranga Rangoli Competition at the premises of Aryabhatta Auditorium, Ranchi University, Ranchi was organised on 13th August 2023. Dr. Ajit Kumar Sinha, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Ranchi University and Dr. Smriti Singh, OSD, Ranchi University graced the occasion. Shri Praween Karmakar, Senior Artist, Ranchi was the Judge of the contest.

The talented students from the Department of Performing and Visual Arts, Ranchi University participated in the competition manifesting patriotism through their art.

The Selfie with Tiranga contest was organised at Oxygen Park, Ranchi followed by another contest at Ranchi University, Ranchi. From little kids to senior citizens enthusiastically participated in the event. Proudly waving the Tiranga, they expressed their pride of being an Indian.

Exhibition of Sohrai, Kohbar and Payatkar Paintings during World Anthropology Congress 2023

IGNCA Regional Centre, Ranchi mounted an exhibition of Sohrai, Kohbar and Payatkar paintings from the archives of Regional Centre, Ranchi during the World Anthropology Congress 2023 held at Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), Bhubaneswar organised by United Indian Anthropology Forum (UIAF)in collaboration with Utkal University, Sambalpur University and Delhi University. More than 1,000 scholars from India and abroad attended the Congress.

Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts, Regional Centre Ranchi is organising a ‘Kavi Sammelan in Tribal and Regional Languages of Jharkhand ‘in collaboration with St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi on 12th August 2022 at 4:30 pm, under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

Panel Discussion on ‘Mahatma evam Gurudev: Swatantottar Bharat Mein Brihtar Bhumika'

This discussion session aims to discuss the views and philosophy of Tagore in reference to Gandhiji’s view of New India. It will not be an overstatement to state that the idea or structure of modern India rests on two towering personalities of the twentieth century – Rabindranath Tagore and Mahatma Gandhi. Though they had many debates and disagreements, they found some common chords and there began a friendship which lasted till Tagore’s death in 1941.

Special Lecture on Partition of India 1947 to commemorate ‘Partition Horrors Remembrance Day’ as a part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ being organized by Regional Centre Ranchi in collaboration with: Press Club, Ranchi

To commemorate the ‘Partition Horrors Remembrance Day’ and to remind the nation of the sufferings and sacrifices of Indians during the partition 1947, this special lecture is being organized.

The objective of this lecture session is to remember how the partition of India had devastated millions of lives across the Indian subcontinent. The provinces of Punjab and Bengal have faced consequences of the catastrophic riots and claimed thousands of lives and left an indelible mark in the psyche of millions of people. Through this lecture, the students and participants would learn about the sacrifices of families and aftereffects of the partition in 1947.

Exhibition : Azad Ki Shaurya Gatha

Under the joint aegis of the Indira Gandhi National Center for the Arts, Ranchi and Varanasi, Central Sanskrit University, Ganganath Jha Campus, Prayagraj, an exhibition on the story of Chandra Shekhar Azad’s valor is being organized to commemorate his 116th birth anniversary. Various aspects and facts of the life of India’s heroic revolutionary Chandrashekhar Azad are being displayed in this exhibition. Many eminent and respected dignitaries will participate in the program. The exhibition is being curated by Dr. Satyavrat Tripathi, Former Curator, National Museum, New Delhi.

1857 Ki Mahakranti – Rani Laxmibai Ke Vishesh Sandarbh Mein

In collaboration with Archeological Survey of India, an Exhibition and Special Lecture titled ‘1857 Ki Mahakranti – Rani Laxmibai Ke Vishesh Sandarbh Mein’ is being organised to commemorate the martyrdom of Rani Lakshmi Bai under ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.

This exhibition narrates the life and the fearless battle fought by the great Rani Lakshmi Bai of Jhansi, who was the foremost leader of the Indian Mutiny of 1857–58 and was one of the first women freedom fighters of India to revolt against the British. This erudite exhibition aims to educate the masses and the upcoming generation in particular, about historical facts of the leader Rani Lakshmi Bai and many such gripping facts.
