Release of DVDs on Faiyaz Khan and Gulam Sadiq under the Masters of Hindustani Classical Music series.

IGNCA has recorded 25 great masters in Hindustani Classical Music. In Phase II of the project, DVDs of a selection of the recording is being

released. The DVDs are 7th & 8th in the series. The release will be followed by concerts by disciples of both the artists.

Workshop on Re-Organization of museum storage at Assam State Museum, Guwahati

The RE-ORG project is being organized at Assam State Museum, Guwahati from the 29th February 2016 to 11th March 2016, in collaboration with Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), Cultural Affairs Department, Government of Assam and ICCROM, Rome. Assam State Government and the workshop is part of the campaign launched to improve the state of museum storage in Assam.

Participants coming from different museums in Assam would avail the opportunity during two weeks to participate in the reorganization of Assam State Museum Storage. As with all RE-ORG projects, the main challenge is to find adequate storing solutions with a limited budget, reusing as much as possible old furnishings and installing basic new furnishings if needed.
